Fall Assignments 2017

07/28/2017 Before/After Photoshop Edit

In the first set of three pictures I combined both pictures simply put me and the duck in the ocean picture. I did this because I thought it would be cool if I put a picture of me on a duck. On the second set I decided to move the picture of me on a cliff and move it to the beach sand. In the last picture I just took out the color from the beach picture and left color on me so I would stand out.

Before and After Fall Assignment 08/01/17

In this assignment I took a picture of myself without editing the acne. In the second picture I took out all the acne and pimples and scratches from my face. Also took out some unnecessary hair. This shows how people edit pictures for ads to make things seem real. as you can tell my face in the second picture looks extremely realistic.

Aperture in a Picture 08/18/17

In the picture i used a larger fstop of f20 so the aperture was smaller. So the picture was more clear overall both the background and the cologne bottle were visible not too much light was allowed in but not too little so the picture looks really good.

Small f-stop f4 the aperture was bigger which made cologne in the picture more clear. Too much light went in so only the object stuck out.

Medium f-stop of f8 so the aperture was also medium. The pic was a little more clear but still had a blurry background. Not much light went in but the background was still pretty clear.

ISO Asssignment 08/22/17

For this picture  I was on M mode and I took the picture with an ISO of 250

For this picture I used M mode and a ISO of 500

For this last picture of ISO I used M mode and had an ISO of 1000

Manual Image 08/23/17

Aperture: F/5
Shutter Speed: 1/100th of a second
ISO - 1200

This picture was taken yesterday 08/23/17 on a gloomy day. The sky was kind of dark so when i took the picture it wasn't too clear so I fixed the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO then I went on the computer and edited it to make the picture more bright.

Rule of Thirds

Before Applying Rule of Thirds
Although there in the middle, the rules of third isn't applied. In fact, if on the 3x3 chart, they would be right in the middle.

After Applying Rule of Thirds

You can see that the composition of the image improved. I gave the image an background feel simply by setting it off to one side rather than down the center.

GRID -  Rules of Third

Since I wanted to stick to the area that shows background, the best way to put this image into the rule of thirds was to create a focus point around the shorter girls face and have the vertical line to the left come along between there bodies.

Shutter Speed 08/07/17

In this picture I used a shuttter speed of 1/15. Full speed.

In this picture I used a shutter speed of 1/80. Mid speed.

In this picture I used a shutter speed of 1/4000. Which entirely froze the picture.

Description of the Edit: What I did to edit the picture was I dragged a sky image from the internet and put it on my original and took out the first sky. The type of picture I took from my angle was a panoramic because I wanted to get a full size picture. So what makes the pictures different is the sky and what I cut out from the original.

This A is a picture of a clip and as you can see it makes the letter A as the first letter of my name. This clip was found in the ASB and i took a picture.

This chair makes the shape of the letter L which is the second letter in my name. It is sitting next to a table.

This shadow of the pole and roof makes the letter of an A which represents the third letter of my name.

Description: I felt great about this project I understood the concept and it was fun. Finding the letters around the schools was the challenge of this project,. I l looked up pictures to find examples of what ti find.Yes, I usually didn't notice letter everywhere but now I do.

My name is the word people call me to get my attention. I was named Alan because of my great grandpa  he was also named Alan.

These three books make the shape of the letter A which is the fourth and last letter in my name. I found these books in the counseling center and saw the opportunity to take the picture.

Photo Re-Coloration

Photo Edit Description:

1. My assignment consisted of coloring in a black and white picture. The concepts of using the computer to grab and color parts of the image were used for this assignment. I reviewed for this assignment by rasturizing which I did in previous assignments. Yes I practiced by doing samples of my final product. I knew I was ready to being this assignment when I got the concept of grabbing parts of a picture and coloring in.This assignment connects to the real world because a lot of photographers do this with old pictures that are black and white.I have seen color editing services on magazines and on the newspaper and news websites.Finishing the background was smooth and easy the challenge was coloring in the clothes, eyes, and face. But I did complete all expectations.

Balance

Symmetrical

Asymmetrical

Radial

Photo Edit Description:

1. Asymmetrical Balance-  is a balance with two equal sizes but different things on each side so if they were to be split in half they wouldn't look the same. Symmetrical- is an object having equal side and looks the same so if it were split it would look the same. Radial- is an object radiating from the center and then expanding.

2.  In the real world industry photos are taken like this and sold because of the way and style it looks.

3. Looking for something asymmetrical was smooth because a lot of the things aren't symmetrical, looking for something symmetrical was challenging because not much things are symmetrical,Yes, I completed all expectations.

2.  It is perspective because it is an illusion due to the perspective of the picture.

3. H Many pictures are taken like this and sold into the real world industry.

4.  The perspective one seemed smoother. Finding a scale picture was most challenging.  Yes I did complete all expectations.

11/29/17

Rule of Odds & Golden Rule of Triangles

Photo Edit Description:

1.

The rule of odds is finding a object with an odd number. The philosophy is that it takes longer to count objects with an odd number than a even number. No, it takes longer to identify that the object has an odd number an even number is more appealing.

2. I portrayed a triangle by structure by having 2 people line-up with a tree.

3. It connects because these types of pictures taken are used to be sold for money by professional photographers.

4. The finding a picture that matched the rule of odds was smooth, finding a picture that followed the golden rule of triangles was more challenging.
